The dean of students reports to the vice president for Student Life and serves as a key member of the vice president’s executive council and leadership team. The Office of the Dean of Students plans, develops, and coordinates a wide range of activities, programs, and services that enhance the quality of student life at The University of Alabama.
The office is comprised of the dean of students, associate dean of students, Off-Campus Resources, Student Care and Well-Being, Student Conduct, and Veteran and Military Affairs.
The office also provides leadership for several key functional areas, including the Behavioral Intervention Team, Interfaith Council, National Student Exchange, development and updating of University policies directly related to students and the Code of Student Conduct, and coordination of outreach to students and families during times of crisis.
